The Paugan Falls Rapids celebrated their 2025 Year-End Banquet on May 3 at the Heritage Hall in Low, Quebec, honouring the heart and talent of the players who defined the 2024–25 season. Selected by the coaching staff, the seven team awards highlight exceptional contributions both on and off the ice—showcasing leadership, sportsmanship, and the spirit of the Rapids.

Garth McLaughlin – Most Improved Player
Garth McLaughlin’s transformation this season earned him the Most Improved Player award. Finishing fifth in team scoring with 11 points in 20 games, he demonstrated noticeable growth from last season. His improved speed added a new layer to his game—allowing him to finish checks with confidence and create scoring chances. McLaughlin’s hard work and dedication paid off, making him one of the team’s most consistent and impactful players.

Bryan Kealey – Coach’s Award
Veteran presence Bryan Kealey was recognized with the Coach’s Award for his leadership and unwavering commitment. As the oldest Rapid, Kealey’s steady presence set the tone in the locker room, while his work ethic was unmatched at the rink. Off the ice, his coordination of Rapids players for the Learn to Skate program helped build lasting connections with the community. A true role model, Kealey embodied what it means to wear the Rapids jersey.

Logan Beaupre – Rookie of the Year
Logan Beaupre made an immediate impact in his first season, earning Rookie of the Year honours. His exceptional skating, confidence under pressure, and smooth transition to senior hockey was impressive. He also chipped in offensively with two highlight-reel goals, and a spirited fight in an exhibition game showed he’s not afraid to stand his ground. Beaupre’s emergence marks the start of what promises to be an exciting Rapids career.

Cole Peck – Best Defenseman
Cole Peck was named Best Defenseman after a season that combined solid defensive play with impressive offensive production. A key piece on both special teams, Peck recorded 20 points in 20 games, including 6 goals and 14 assists—leading all NPHL Eastern Conference defensemen in scoring. His poise under pressure and ability to control the pace of play made him the backbone of the Rapids' blue line all year long.

Etienne Champagne – Best Forward
After joining mid-season, Etienne Champagne lit up the scoresheet and earned Best Forward honours. Leading the team in goals and points, Champagne elevated his offensive production from 0.9 points per game with the South Grenville Rangers to an outstanding 1.7 points per game with the Rapids. His skill and creativity made him a constant scoring threat and an indispensable part of the team’s second-half surge.

Ryan Peck – Most Valuable Player
Captain Ryan Peck, the team’s Most Valuable Player, led by example every step of the way. With 12 goals and 12 assists, he paced the Rapids offensively while also embracing the hardest matchups on the ice. His calm leadership, commitment to community initiatives, and all-around excellence made him the heartbeat of the team and a true embodiment of the Rapids spirit.

Aidan Foley – David Chamberlin Sportsmanship Award
