Rapids Add Former QMJHL Power Forward Colin Ratt for 2026–27 Season

The Paugan Falls Rapids are proud to announce the signing of forward Colin Ratt for the 2026–27 season, adding a QMJHL veteran whose combination of size, speed, and physicality is expected to make an immediate impact.

Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 215 pounds, Ratt brings an exciting power forward style to the Rapids lineup. Despite his size, he skates exceptionally well, plays a heavy game in all three zones, and combines a hard, heavy shot with soft hands around the net.

Originally from Rapid Lake, Quebec, Ratt arrives in Paugan Falls following an accomplished junior career that included 128 games in the QMJHL with the Sherbrooke Phoenix and Gatineau Olympiques. During his final QMJHL season, he recorded 25 points in 65 games before finishing his junior career with the Gatineau Flames, where he caught fire offensively with 13 points in just 12 games.

Last season, Ratt took the next step in his hockey career by spending part of the year with the Columbus River Dragons of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL), gaining valuable experience at the professional level before deciding to continue his career closer to home.

"We're excited to have Colin in the lineup full-time this season," said Rapids Head Coach and General Manager Randy Peck. "He's the type of player that senior hockey is made for. He's big, strong, skates extremely well, and isn't afraid to play a physical game. On top of that, he has the skill to create offense and finish around the net. We think he's going to be a very important piece for us this year."

Ratt's blend of experience, toughness, and offensive ability gives the Rapids another proven player capable of making an impact in every situation. As the club continues to build toward the 2026–27 season, the addition of one of the region's most physically imposing forwards further strengthens an already talented roster.
