Rapids Set to Rebound Against South Grenville Rangers This Saturday
The Paugan Falls Rapids are eager to bounce back after last weekend's narrow 2-1 loss to the Pontiac Comets. This Saturday, October 26th, they face off against the South Grenville Rangers in what promises to be an exciting matchup at the Gatineau Valley Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 5:00 pm. This will be the Rapids' last home game until November 30th, so you won't want to miss it!
The Rapids will have some familiar faces back in the lineup, including Raphael Lajeunesse, making his season debut. Lajeunesse was a standout in the latter half of last season, averaging over a point per game, and his return is expected to give the Rapids' offense a significant boost.
Despite the Rangers' 0-5 record to start the season, their opponents have been tough, and they’re sure to come to play. The Rapids defense will need to contain Rangers' key offensive threats, Brandon Gilmour and Broydon Stufko, both of whom are averaging two points per game this season.
Last season, the South Grenville Rangers bested the Rapids in both of their head-to-head matchups, with scores of 5-4 and 6-2. The Rapids are hungry for redemption and eager to defend their home ice in front of the Rapids faithful.
