Rapids Sign Goaltender Charles Paré

The Paugan Falls Rapids are proud to announce the signing of goaltender Charles Paré for the upcoming 2025–26 season.

Paré, a native of Breckenridge, QC, brings both size and skill to the crease at 6’1”. Known for his technical precision, calm demeanor, and ability to use his frame to his advantage, he has developed a reputation as a tough challenge for shooters. His mix of fundamentals and composure allows him to stay steady under pressure, giving his team the confidence to play their game in front of him.

Last season, Paré suited up for the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), gaining valuable experience at the university level while continuing to refine his game. His progression with UQO showcased his ability to adapt and improve, proving he could handle high-caliber competition and rise to the occasion when called upon.

Bringing Charles into the fold strengthens an already determined Rapids lineup. In a league where momentum can shift quickly, having dependable goaltending is critical — and Paré’s presence adds both stability and peace of mind to the Rapids bench. His signing reflects the team’s commitment to building not only for today but for the long grind of the season ahead.

Hailing from Breckenridge, Paré knows what it means to represent hockey in the Outaouais region. Playing in Paugan Falls gives him the chance to stay close to family and friends while competing in one of the league’s most passionate environments at the Gatineau Valley Arena.

“Charles is a great addition for us,” said Rapids Head Coach Randy Peck. “He’s a technically sound goalie who has proven he can give his team a chance to win whenever he’s called upon. Having him in our crease gives us even more stability and confidence heading into the year.”

The Rapids open their season on October 11th at the Gatineau Valley Arena in Low, QC. Fans can expect plenty of excitement as the team introduces new faces and prepares for another year of hard-hitting, fast-paced hockey.

Welcome to Paugan Falls, Charles!
