Teddy Bear Toss Night Returns This Saturday in Low
Rapids vs. South Grenville Rangers — November 29 at 7:00 PM
The Paugan Falls Rapids are back on home ice this Saturday, November 29th, for one of the most heartwarming and community-focused games of the season: our third annual Teddy Bear Toss Night, presented in partnership with the Low Fire Department.
A Community Tradition
Fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal to toss onto the ice after the first intermission.
Last year, Rapids fans donated over 150 teddy bears, all of which were delivered to local families, Maison des Collines, and Gracefield’s old age home by Ronnie Rapid and the Low Fire Department, spreading holiday cheer throughout the Gatineau Valley.
This Saturday is your chance to help us build on that tradition.
Make a Night of It — Start With the Parade
Before the game, the Low Christmas Parade departs from the Heritage Hall parking lot at 4:45 PM, does a 45-minute loop through Low, and returns right to the arena. Join the festivities, then head inside for Teddy Bear Toss Night — the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
A Tight Matchup On the Ice
The Rapids host the South Grenville Rangers in what promises to be a competitive matchup.
Both teams enter the game with nearly identical records, and the season opener between the two sides was a high-tempo 8–5 battle in South Grenville.
The Rapids hold an edge on the powerplay, operating at 20.6%, compared to the Rangers’ 13.5%, while SGR carries a slight advantage on the penalty kill. With both clubs fighting for position in the standings, Saturday night should deliver exciting hockey from start to finish.
