Rapids Build New Road Sign at Gatineau Valley Arena

Rapids volunteers replaced the aging Gatineau Valley Arena road sign with a new structure designed to proudly represent the arena and its community.

Before & After

Road Sign Project

Overview

On July 26, 2023, the Paugan Falls Rapids completed a one-day project to install a brand-new road sign at the Gatineau Valley Arena. The goal was to replace the aging arena sign with something more durable, eye-catching, and representative of both the arena and the Rapids organization.

The new sign stands tall with a bold, updated look that proudly incorporates the Rapids logo—symbolizing the team’s deep connection to the arena and its continued commitment to community-driven improvements.

Project Impact

The new sign improved the arena’s visibility from the road while creating a more welcoming and recognizable entrance for players, spectators, and community members.

Materials & Support

The large structural wood beams used in the project were generously donated by Rob Harris, while the Rapids organization funded the remainder of the materials and paid for the signage itself.
